Malick, jeune journaliste fraîchement diplômé est engagé par le quotidien WEST INFOS, l’organe de presse qui emploie également Grand Laay, célèbre et talentueux directeur de publication. Il est aussi l’idole du jeune Malick qui rêve de lui ressembler. Toutefois, Malick ignore que son idole est un journaliste corrompu jusqu’à l’os. Parallèlement, Malick entretient une liaison amoureuse avec Bineta, la fille de Grand Laye. Tout oppose les 2 hommes : l’un, intègre et prêt à tout pour le rester alors que l’autre qui veut conserver ses pratiques immorales, va s’engager dans une guerre sans merci pour conserver ses acquis.
